WordPress Translator Pro 6.1 & WordPress Translator Gold 2.1 Updates Released
Monday, March 16th, 2009Translator Plugin Gold and Translator Plugin Pro have been facilitated with another significant update. Just for the reconrds Translator Plugin Gold provides automatic machine translation of your WordPress blog in 41 languages. Translator Plugin Pro provides automatic machine translation of your WordPress blog in 20 languages.
The Major Changes are:
1. The updates have been added to accommodate chnages in the major translation engine.
2. A new filter has been added which enables you to take a decision even before the translation begins. That means
- you can cancel the translation if you wish
- You can provide customized error messages.
- You can globally modify translated pages in cache and much more.
3. The translator pre-post hooks enables complete control over the functioning of translation process, including but not limited to modifying cached pages.
- You can close down a particular page or all the pages from being translated.
- You can also stop a particular language to be translated to if clicked.
- Being the admin, you can redirect visitors to one common error page. This way, duplicate pages of same contents can be done away with. And end users won’t realize a thing.
4. One of the main problems of all the translation engines is the set of unavailable characters after translation. That is why, if you translate a page, you will see question marks or other special characters in place of letters. Its pretty annoying and inaccurate. Keeping that in mind, the new upgrade holds improvement in charset too. The new code helps the engine to choose the most optimized character set when required. This will be very benificial for non-english blogs in special.
5. Now you can view, analyze and change the cached data information. That is, you can see which page is being translated more and more and you can improve its quality. Again, you can take all the stats and put any number you like.
